It is told from Boone's perspective as he remembers his first crush, a ranger that he never had an actual conversation with. Ranger Rutherford was very well-regarded in the army and he found himself too intimidated to talk to her. He decided to give it a try after she came back from her current mission with her working partner. However, Boone would never get that chance.
