POSTCARD UPDATE!!!!!

This update is for anyone who pledged at the $25 level between January 2019 (charged Feburary 1st) and December 2019 (changed January 1st 2020).

OKAY, with that out of the way, let’s get started! 

As everyone knows, it’s been awhile since we’ve sent out our last postcard. I want to start by apologizing for the delay and thanking everyone for their support and their patience. I’m continually blown away by how understanding everyone is and it means so much! We’ve taken this time to figure out the best solution for fulfilling postcards over the past year and going forward.

For January 2019’s postcards, we started our Spring in Hieron set. This was intended to be a correspondence between Golden Lance members Callowkeen and Maria Velasinha, traveling Hieron off screen throughout the season. Unfortunately, we ran into some unforeseen issues with that project, which when coupled with the end of Hieron, convention season, and the start of PARTIZAN, led us way off schedule. Now that we’ve got out of the muck, we’re shifting away from this project, fulfilling the backlog with something new and exciting, and then moving onto a new project for 2020 that we’re confident we can stay current on (read on for more!). It’s worth saying that it was difficult to make this decision but we felt it was better to make this choice than let the delay continue indefinitely.

What we’ll be sending out instead is something I’m very excited to share with everyone. We couldn’t have made this decision without making sure we could replace it with something really, really special.

Here is a very very early draft of the cover: 

We’re so excited to be working with Annie Johnston-Glick (@dancynrew) and Heart of the Deericorn to create a collection of the letters between Alyosa and Arrell, previously published in the episode descriptions for Winter in Hieron, along with some additional illustrations and contextual material. We’ve always thought that the value in our postcards are in the experience of being able to pick up and hold something that feels like it could’ve come out of the worlds of our show, and we’ve kept that in mind when designing this to make it really feel like having a piece of Hieron delivered to you. This collection will be over 20 pages contained in a canvas bag and I really cannot wait for them to be printed and out in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

Our expectation is for this project to be fulfilled in early February! I'll send out another update in between now and when these packages are sent so there will be another opportunity to confirm addresses or request a hold! YES, I NEED PEOPLE TO CONFIRM THEIR ADDRESSES OR REQUEST A HOLD! If you’re no longer pledged at the $25 level or plan to change your pledge, you can skip to the bottom of the post!

If you’re still pledged at $25 level, you’re rightfully curious about our plans going forward! January’s postcards (the first of our season six set, changed Feburary 1st) will be fulfilling in the end of Feburary/early March! We plan to return to sending out postcards monthly with this set and are in a better place to return to that schedule than ever. So good, in fact, I am pixelating this teaser to keep the surprise!

For this postcard set, we’re working with Conner Fawcett and Simon Sweetman to create in-world artifacts featuring different mechs you’d see on the moon of PARTIZAN. Plus, of course, a short epistolary story written by Austin and Jack.

c. you expect your address to change between now and February, so we can figure out if it makes sense for me to hold onto your envelope until you're settled

d. you want me to hold onto your envelope for some other reason, like travel.
