Drawing Maps - January 2020 - PARTIZAN 00-04

Today, we're going to try out this new format for the show, which turns it into a sort of monthly post-mortem on the episodes and arcs that have released lately. Today, to keep it focused, we're sticking with PARTIZAN episodes 00-04, but in the future we might spend Drawing Maps looking at Bluff City or Live at the Table games, or even go back to one of the former "forward-looking" formats.

I am really enjoying this Drawing Maps. Particularly the "PvP" discussion and I actually got chills how well the situation in the most recent Partizan episode was handled. It's so valuable for that latter part to be part of the recording! The way I've put it for my players is that the receiving player gets to be the GM for a bit: i.e. they get to judge position and effect that the acting character might have. And I help moderate that exchange. I really love how open and honest this process makes us all and how FitD games add so much in leveling authority at the table.

Maybe there will be more Drawing Maps in between arcs like this? So good. It's fascinating to see what the difference in this seasom compared to others is and the player dynamics that are going on. As well as you process in gm'ing.
