It's interesting. I have aphantasia and I don't think in language unless I'm actively trying to. It's partially natural - I too had a moment when I realized that the "mind's eye" and "visualization" were not metaphorical for other people. I always had a low propensity for linguistic thinking, but I've also trained myself out of it entirely from there. The "internal monologue" some people report having is also absent. It's all abstract realm of pure concept in here, which I say with a little tongue-in-cheek haughtiness but is literally accurate. It's partially a pseudo-ideological position - it's not that I think this is necessarily a good way to be for everyone, but I do think it's a good way to be for me. Sometimes I wonder if differing positions on mind-body dualism or Platonism or modern assertions to politically or emotionally/psychiatrically center the body owe a lot to this differing likely largely neurological/biological experience. Like, when I heard the deal with the Iconoclasts and Volition, I thought "Ah, a way of being that is closer to the ideal I already apprehend", not "Incomprehensible monsters".
