I wanted to jump right back into the waifu project after new years, but some personal stuff got in the way.
Long story short, I thought that I'd be buying a renovated house later this year, but it turns out I am buying a house that needs to be renovated right now. Next couple of months are going to be wacky. Send help.
My art priorities in the first half of the 2023 will be keeping Alfie updated with no major breaks and filling whatever extra time I have with waifu related content. I also wanted to try developing a simple comic drawing style that would allow me to get more content out there. One of my major struggles over the years has been "style creep". As I work on any project I continue to make it more and more complex, until it's too difficult to keep up. Look at where Alfie started and where it is now art wise. 2023 will be the year of simplicity! I hope.
Since I won't have as much free time as I thought I would I think I'll combine the waifu and simple comic projects. At least for a while to see how I [and you] like it. Super short and simple waifu comics? Anyone? I think it's a good idea.
I'll set up the next waifu vote later today with more details.
Anyway, I hope that you guys had a good 2022! And I hope that you will have an even better 2023!
