Update (Mics&Logistics 2)

Hello! It's me again <3

I'm still in the thick of reorganizing and planning, etc, but I do need to give a fairly big update.

Unfortunately, the mic that I purchased isn't going to work for me. From the moment I got it out of the box and started trying to set it up problems arose... I could get into the details but ultimately, it took a couple of days for me to even begin to use the mic and test how it recorded. I don't think that it worked well with my voice or my space, and it would have doubled or even potentially tripled the amount of time it would take to edit any audio I record. I am not a professional and I know very little about microphones and sound engineering. I'm sure that someone much more advanced with me would be able to work with the mic more effectively, but I am not that person. Since I still have a microphone that works, I will be sticking with it for now.

I'm a little disappointed. I thought that I would be able to improve the quality of my audios with a better microphone. I was hoping that it would be a smooth process and a clear benefit to my channel. However, it wasn't all a loss. As I have mentioned, I have learned a lot about sound and recording through this process, and I do believe I can improve how I've been doing things with my current microphone.

At this point I've decided not to buy another new microphone. The time it takes to research and decide on one, the time it takes to order, for it to arrive, to set up and test it--I can't justify taking that much more time away from working on actually producing audios for you guys.

So! On a separate note:

I still have that secret project I'm working on, which is currently moving into it's next phase, one step closer to you! I'm anticipating that it will be ready to announce quite soon.

As for the next coming audios, I'm still working on those. I have a few scripts written that I need to record, and beyond that, I'm slowly working on new scripts.

As always, thank you for your patience and your support.

Much love,

spell

I'll keep this recommendation in mind for the future, but as I said, for now I'm going to focus on making audios. Thank you!

Oh Im sorry to hear the much anticipated mic was a bit of a disappointment :( Through a different lens, though, the absense of a shiny new mic doesnt make your audios worse! And they were already such quality listens as is :)
