Can fantasy get too dumb?

The fantasy film Mortal Engines main concept is moving cities on wheels, but is this idea too dumb and unrealistic and can ideas be too dumb in fantasy generally?

Can fantasy get too dumb?

So shad. About the weight Issue. You could attach a Fleet of Blimps and Other lighter then air Floating devices. to the City. And it would Help to Deal with the weight Problem. By lifting a Portion of the weigh off the Frame and Wheels. of the City. You could also make the City out of Lighter materials to Help make the City as a whole, lighter. But also to cut fuel costs. Now about the speed inertia issues that would cause the City to Collapse while moving. Just add Plane Engines to the City. To move the top of the City with the Bottom. Also to fix the fuel Problem. make all the engines and tech run on H2O. They would use hydrogen engines and Generators. And to refuel all you would need to do is find some lake or river. Or even a Well. Or some other smaller Body of Water. and you would have your Fuel. You Could build the City in a Similar Manner to how Japanese ancient Buildings were. they could resist Earth quakes that would Topple any Modern day Sky Scraper. So that would be neat to use their Style of Buildings in a way. There are some Docs on YouTube about Japanese ancient Buildings resisting Earth quakes, if any one is interested. :)
