This is a big one

What was life REALLY like living in a medieval castle and times? There are a lot of falsehoods spread attempting to answer that question and in this video I clear things up.

This is a big one

Regarding eating lamb and beef (veal), one thing that I heard recently which I found interesting was that killing off the calf/lamb was done so that the milk would be available to the farmer. I hadn't thought about this before, but it makes sense. Milk (by way of cheese) is an important staple and one which stays well, but mammals must give birth to stimulate lactation. So the farmer has to remove the calf/lamb so that they can use the milk for cheese production. I’d never thought of that angle before. I always thought it made more sense to let the animals grow up so you would get maximum meat yield, but this way you are maximizing milk yield.

Really enjoyed this one. At some point I will get my kids to watch it. I'm sure they will find all the discussion around what gets thrown out of windows to be hilarious!
