Shad, you are stopping the blade too soon. Ty was bringing the sword in a large arc.

2024-09-16 15:40:15 +0000 UTCI recently learnt that Anne Boleyn was killed kneeling upright, rather than bending over. Given the issues you have with edge alignment with horizontal strikes, what fo you think the rationale would be for wielding an executioners sword horizontally instead of vertically?
