Clarification on Tiered Posts

Hey folks: made a couple of quick clarifications, but but also thought it would be good to send out an update about this post, since some newer additions to the family may have missed this one.

Hey Family,

We've had some questions from patrons why some lower-tier posts are locked to them. The reason is, some content is tailored specifically for the people IN a tier. For example, we have a whole selection of backgrounds and wallpapers featuring the tier art. So people in the Sleepwalkers tier get Sleepwalkers backgrounds, folks in We Known You From Church get WKYFC art, and so on. When we ship out care packages, the folks who get those get a little something special that's designed specifically for whichever tier they're in. If you're in a higher tier, you're not missing out on anything — you get the same thing or something similar, but for YOU.

We want each tier of the Patreon family to feel appreciated and to have their own content. There's plenty of overlap, but please understand that these are intentional choices to make all of our family feel appreciated and seen. No one is being shorted or shafted.

Thanks for everything y'all.

Agreed. You are awesome. So glad that my son introduced me to this family.

Anyone who would think you two would do less than exactly The Most for each of your patreons has not been paying attention. But thank you for communicating this so clearly! Much love!

Just wondering if the mail out goodies are sent on a scheduled basis?

This is explained in the tier rewards description. You can access it from the Member tab on our page.

How many months do you need to be a patron to be eligible?

I get some of the confusion: Most Patreon related things are “For the lower tier, you get this,” for the next tier up, “For this tier, you get everything from the lower tier, plus blah blah blah!” lather, rinse, repeat for the other higher tiers. I like the idea that each tier is unique, and yet, the higher you go up, the more goodies you get. That’s still fair. I realize that if I drop to, say, $5 per month, I’m not going to get the goodies I get at my current tier ($20+ per month), but I do like that they’re unique. Thanks for what y’all do.

It's like my momma always used to tell us kids when we were little. We might not get the same number of presents as each other on Christmas, but it's still the same amount of money and love.
