#AnotherWorldOctober Day 3: Favorite Films of the Season

I'm taking a slightly different approach to this question. Over on the Fellowship Hall, I had posted a poll asking for input on the best movies to watch this year for #31NightsofHalloween. I know I am a year late on this post, but I just joined, and I'm trying to catch up. If you like movies about root work, VooDoo, and most especially HooDoo, try "The Skeleton Key". If you are into vintage suspense, a must-see is "Whatever Happened To Baby Jane", starring Better Davis and Joan Crawford. We do a "Thirty Days of Night" here on the farm;. We watch a film, or several spooky episodes of something each day Oct 1-30, then we dress up on the 31st (my birthday) and take the "Grandkits" out Trick or Treating. Sounds like I need to extend my "Spooky Season" and up my game!

It looks like things get a little hairy on the 30th - Dog Soldiers is my favourite werewolf film ever! I hope you enjoy it, British humour and all!

Kathlyn Smith

I am excited/horrified for you on the 26th! Love to know what you thought about Cabin in the Woods...

Bryce Connor

It's just cheesy but I liked House on haunted hill. It wasn't the horrible acting from Ali Larter or Taye Diggs. Geoffrey Rush kind of phones it in. But it was the dr and his shaky face and stop motion projection movements

Barton Bella

Hmmm. I really enjoyed the 2018 remake of "Suspiria" and have never seen the original. I'll check it out!

Jennifer Parsons

I always liked the old phantasm and puppet master movies. Something about The Tall Man and Drill Head scared me so bad growing up

Barton Bella

Dog Soldiers is underrated really. The Wolfman newer version I can’t remember the year was good too.

<3 - though... not the Babadook, that movie was genuinely horrifying and it had nothing to do with "the monster." - 'preciate you throwing in some funnies! Always loved all of Evil Dead (anything with Bruce Campbell), and Tucker & Dale vs. Evil is GOLD!
