Steve's Old Poetry of Appalachia
Added 2019-12-05 13:58:08 +0000 UTCHey Famiy,
We've had some requests for transcripts of episodes (and those are coming) and for transcripts of Steve's poems that have served for intros and segments in Let There Be Green and in The Covenant and The Sacrifice. I thought it might be nice to make these available to patrons. These come from a collection I was working on a couple of years ago that went on to be one of the inspirations for OGoA entitled Death of a White God. Anyway, enjoy!

2021-07-13 08:30:47 +0000 UTCAny updates on access to transcripts? I love listening and re-listening, but even so, I'd have an easier time absorbing the stories if I could read the words. I know, that's not the point of a podcast, but it's how my brain works. Thanks for everything. <3
2021-07-13 02:30:50 +0000 UTCI never did anything with Death of a White God honestly. Well, except cannibalize parts of it into this show. Circles of Salt is...fine. That's a collection of stuff I had lying around and there was this big push for a lot of us spoken word poets to be publishing stuff to have as merch. We're working on a new relationship that might open up some opportunities for putting things like that out there. I"ll let you know.

2020-05-24 16:31:08 +0000 UTCOkay, so I was trying to be proactive and find a copy of /Death of a White God/ myself, but I am having no luck - the only thing I can find that I think is yours is /Circles of Salt/ on Amazon. You have a copy or something I can pick up from you?
