Deeley is new to midwifery / healing / things her grandmother could teach her, many of which even non-gifted healers can do. But she's had her innate abilities her entire life. Give her episodes in BMAC another listen. Some folks seem to have picked up the idea that she's somehow weak or inexperienced, when she's been dealing with her gift since childhood. She wouldn't have been tapped to deal with the DQ if she didn't have the juice for the work.
