TS4 and the new policy of EA

Hello there!

First I want to thank all those people who supported me on Patreon <3 Thanks to you all for it <3

Now to the point

Surely many of you have already heard about the new policy of EA. But I only found that out a few hour ago...  The news is that EA forbade all exclusive content, as well as early access for creators. Of course it's their right, but... I'm discouraged...

I never demanded money for my work, and absolutely all players could receive my CC for free after 20 days from the start of publication I have never made exclusive content because I understand that not everyone will have the opportunity to buy it

Early access gave me a small income to meet some needs. Now, during the war and increasing unemployment in my country, early access has become my salvation. What should I do now? Honestly i have no idea...

I have already worked on several projects, but now I am in complete apathy. I'm not sure I can continue to make smth in future if early access is no longer allowed. I'm also a living person and I'm also want to eat...

Therefore, if you still have desire and opportunity to support me, I will be grateful to you for this <3 I hope for your understanding

P.S. I made all posts public. Enjoy...

I just became a patron after discovering your content. Now my sim wears nothing but the vyshyvanka CC that you make. You gave her a whole Ukrainian wardrobe. You and your country are in my thoughts. The rest of the world stands with you and Ukraine, and I hope that the US gets more weapons to your brave soldiers quickly. Ukraine is protecting all of Europe and the world from Russia so bravely that it makes me want to cry. The world stands with you, I just wish that we could all help you faster.

Oh! This is very good news, thanks!

Please do not feel discouraged during this time, you still maintained the skills that you have while making cc and I know that the 3d modeling market is not bad right now. I hope that you are able to still make a bit of money even though you have lost some support, I know that there are people that will continue to support you regardless. Please I urge you to look into the 3d market to see what you are able to do with your skills while you also make cc (if you still choose)

Chubby Potato

I know you've lost a few patrons, but you've gained my support through your decision to comply with TOS even though the potential loss of revenue adds to stressors that I cannot fully comprehend, having never been in a war zone.

Thank you, honey

Thanks for your concern <3

Thank you <3

I initially supported you because of the war (and certainly seeing the horrors the Russians have done over on your Tumblr), because I wanted to help in my own way. I'll still continue my support.

infinitygoddess

Personally, I'm still continuing to support the creators I was previously supporting with very little change. I'm sad that creators that were following the early access rules got caught up in this.

Shadowkeeper

Personally, I intend to keep supporting you whether you choose to keep your content early access or not. I also think it's a bad decision on their part from both a moral and business standpoint and hope they'll change their minds.

Until EA makes an official clear statement on early access that does not come from an outsourced support staff chat box, I think you should be fine keeping up early access. The worst they can do is send a cease and desist letter, and you can bet they're going to focus on the perma paywall modders that consistently break the rules and not the ones that release content as early access. I hope you're staying safe. ♥

Surely-Sims

Maybe you can try other websites like the sim resource. The way that they charge and distribute seems to comply with the new rule. But whatever your decision is I want you to know that I’ll continue to support you and I sincerely hope that you could figure out a way to maintain your income from making cc. After all things aren’t the same for everyone and if I could help you in any other way such as emailing EA for suggesting exclusions I’ll definitely do that!

I saw both answers, so I don't know who to believe :( But for now I will remove early access until the situation clears up...

satterlly

I would contact EA they did not mention early access, neither stating it is allowed nor stating it is no longer allowed. I think early access should be allowed and they should only be going after paywall creators (those who never release). Contact EA and ask, the worst they can do is say no. Be Blessed
