Although this is officially their 23rd battle together in this story's universe, this is Alexi's and Gorilla's second championship match. Gorilla, holder of the Australian and European heavyweight belts, puts his two national titles on the line for a shot at the coveted world heavyweight champion belt.
This image set is 77 panels total, over twice the usual amount from this tier of images. It's not something I can do often, but on a special match like this, I felt like it was worth the extra time and effort to make something... special!

I haven't heard from him in quite some time, and even tried e-mailing him a couple months ago to see if he was alright, but have heard nothing back. A short time after that, I asked his friend JungleKingKazar if he'd heard from him and he said that he hadn't, either. Last we talked, he was in poor health (and is on up there in years), so... I'm a bit concerned that he may've passed on. :\ I haven't been able to find an obituary or anything of his, so I'm hopeful he's just been unable to come online for whatever reason. He did tell me once, years ago, that it would be okay if I made a gallery with all the art I collected of his (over 650 images, not counting color corrections he did). I'm thinking of doing that over at Barbaric Brawn one day, as kind of a memorial and for others to enjoy the great work that inspired me in part to start all of this.
