hair texture attempts
Added 2022-02-04 15:32:45 +0000 UTCsome of the hair experiments i did in the past week. in the end i ended up making over 40 completely different textures trying to figure out what level of detail and shine looks best. the problem is that since the hair is white, it's impossible to add shine without making the hair WAY too dark in order for it to show up. and the level of detail it added didn't really fit with how soft the rest of the model is. PLUS IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO DRAW TEXTURES IN BLENDER AND I WAS HINDERED BY HAVING TO DRAW THE ENTIRE THING IN ONE LAYER WITH ONE SHITTY PIXELATED BRUSH THAT HAS NO REAL CUSTOMIZATION SETTINGS UGH
anyway, the one we decided to go with is the first one, bc it feels like it fits the rest of the model the best. really bummed we couldn't get the shine to work, but it is what it is. the hair has EASILY been the hardest part of this entire process lol,,,,, why did i create a nightmare,,,,
