Here are a few pencils from the making of grOw/cOmic 5, "grOwing Appreciation". This was back when the initial drawings were done in pencil on paper, and then scanned in for inking and painting. Starting with grOw/cinema, I decided to try going fully digitally — and have never looked back.

You will see how sometimes, I use the poser figure as reference (and many times only for size/perspective — you can see how Jack's drawing in the first frame is different from the poser model).

You can also see where I would make sure the drawings fit the 3D rendered background (3rd page). My current workflow makes this part much easier.
