Happy new year. I loved the ramble. Over the years, I've found a couple things that have made my life happier. First, I have things that I do daily that I enjoy. Something like quietly enjoying a cup of coffee. If my day starts going poorly, I do some little thing that I enjoy, just to reset my mind. Second, I found that most of my bad days were not from major things, but a series of minor annoyances. Getting stuck in traffic or a long check out line or whatever. At each annoyance, I remind myself that if this is the worst thing to happen to me all day, I'm having a good day, It becomes easy to acknowledge the annoyance and let it pass than to allow them to build up and ruin a perfectly good day.

2023-01-02 20:02:19 +0000 UTCDeath is a really hard topic to chew on and to deal with. Its overwhelming. Last year my Uncle said his last good bye... 6 days later my niece was born. Im holding onto what my Grandma always says: "When one life ends, another one begins"... and i do truely believe it.

2023-01-01 16:36:19 +0000 UTC2022 Was my year for setting healthy boundaries, as painful as it was. When I was growing up in NC we didn't get a lot of snow either, so one year when we got around 2 inches of Snow I took the wheels and trucks off my skateboard and used it as a makeshift snowboard. I fell a lot, but I had a blast! I'd love to be able to just genuinely have fun like I did back then even for just a little bit. Forget all my problems and stress and just solely focus on doing something because I find it fun. I think that is going to be my goal for 2023, "guilt-free" fun. Thank you so much for everything this year Miss Wendy! Thanks to you I've been able to take those first few steps towards doing things that make happy and I'll never be able to thank you enough!!!

For me, I want to find more quiet time, a nice place where I can look at nature and take in the beauty around me. Sometimes you feel like you're on the cusp of learning something wonderful or coming to a realization of some new way of discovering bliss but you check your watch, your phone and get sucked back into normal life. To be more me, I just want to find that nice spot and smile. There's no reason, just because I can. No thinking about any problems or stress, just a smile and just capture those moments where we really are ourselves. So that is how I hope to be more "me" putting on that smile when no one else is around, haha. Thank you for all the work you do, keeping us boys afloat with the life preserver that is all that optimism you have~ I'm glad I stumbled into this group. 😊 For me, It was the highlight of 2022, for sure! Can't wait to spend 2023 with you all. So go get those chocolates, that tummy is rumbling! Lol (Sorry for the lengthy comment)

I remember using trash can lids and scrap plasting sheeting as sleds with bread bags in our shoes to protect from the wet. I am still moving back into my body (what a strange thing, embodying the meat puppet and not just tugging at strings from an ethereal abstract cloud above it) and that feels like a sadness like the book describes. A feeling of great intensity of all varieties. Being full (of myself? In a literal and metaphorical sense? Hmmmmm). I'm more and more grateful for all the people and things that help me stay put inside of me. Welcome to the team, Miss. Thanks for existing. See you next year!

This coming year I have a feeling will be monumental for me. From my hobby/career aspect to my relationships. Time doesn't stop moving forward, do we embrace it or hide from it.
