I know this month, rewards have come slower and deeper into the month than usual. But, rest assured, I will be working hard on them in the coming couple of weeks to complete them all before month's end. I have already started on the mOnthly grOw illustration and will attempt to finish it today.
During the beginning of the month, I was laser-focused on finishing the latest grOw/cinema 2 episode. This issue took the longest of ANY grOw issue (with the exception of grOw/cOmic 1) at 147 days in production (about 5 months). This extraordinary time was becoming a financial burden on me, and I needed to complete the project as soon as possible. THANK YOU to everyone who bought it.
During the past 10 days, I was also somewhat preoccupied with a dire family emergency. One of my brothers (I am the youngest of 6 kids), was admitted into the hospital with severe COVID symptoms. He was immediately sedated and put on a ventilator. Shadows were appearing on his lungs and his kidneys were failing. Sadly, around 3am yesterday, less than 1 week after being admitted, he passed away. Our family is heartbroken. My brother was #5 of the group, and the one whom I shared a bedroom with until about 11 years old when older siblings had moved out and there were more rooms available.
I implore anyone who is feeling covid-like symptoms to get tested or checked by a doctor ASAP. My brother hadn't, and was very doctor-shy. It probably cost him his life. He was only 58.
