Red's Weekly Update

Hi everyone, gettin' real close to the end of this week, looks like I just barely made it. Sorry for the wait but I hope its understandable given family/holiday obligations (and I hope anyone who celebrates was able to have a good weekend).

Anyway, here's a look at two new effects: when the core shield gets deactivated (when all other enemies on the field get destroyed) and when the core itself is destroyed. This means all of the action oriented particle effects are done and all that's left are the Hacking Start/Exit effects!

These last two are very similar and one can almost just be a duplicate of the other in reverse, but they're complex effects that have a lot of depth and I'm still figuring out the best way to tackle them. Now that the holiday's past I should be able to get a bit more time in, and hope to at least have something to preview (if not finished) by next week's update. We'll see!

This means I probably won't have a new build ready by the end of the month, but still on track to have one out before the end of the year. :)

Hey! Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I'd like to have the option to turn off the cursor, especially for those who want to just use a controller. I also plan to create a more thematically appropriate custom cursor. Thanks for asking!

Looks fantastic! Will the cursor be invisible in the end product? I find it easier to concentrate on similar games when there's no cursor or a different in-game curser that fits the theme
