Red's Weekly Update
Added 2020-06-02 15:00:03 +0000 UTCOk here we go, back at it. First up, I want to announce and reveal the winning request for May: Hinata Hyuga requested by an anonymous patron. I've never drawn a Naruto character so it was good to do something a little different. I've also been practicing pushing proportions, trying to make my ladies look extra thicc without looking ridiculous. I might be reaching that threshhold...I'll let you decide :)
As you can see, as part of this sketch I included some super quick coloring. I kind of liked how fast I was able to fill that in, sometimes it's nice to skip all the inking and cleanup and just do a rough coloring job that still looks somewhat finished...I almost wonder if I should stick with this "style" for future illustrations. Even though its not as polished, I like that it's more finished than some of the other art that's taking me forever to get through.
Hm, now that I think about it, maybe I should run a poll about that. I'll have that scheduled for later in the week.
Speaking of scheduled stuff, I think I forgot to post the Sailor Moon redraw stuff, so I'll make sure that gets out too.
Aaaaaanyway, since May's done, it's time to gather some more requests! I'll post the form link again in the next few days. Gettin' started even earlier this time!
No new stuff to show for Pod's New Program just yet. Working on improving the text parsing system to see what else I can do with it. Don't need anything complex like selectable choices, but it might like to be able to bold or italicize certain lines.
