howdy, p daddy likers ! stoppin by to say WATS UP! dont think i forgot about ya! cuz i didnt! <3 . heres my original JUST ME demo of "Discount Assisted Living"! didnt have a title yet so i just labeled it as "sink on", a portion of the only lyric in the song. i saw some people wondering in the discord a while ago if "sink on" was a separate song when i posted a tease for LP3 before it came out. well we can put that theory to rest hehe. im here to tell u its the same song! just before it had a badass name lol.

the strings in here are just midi. i think it was a sample library called Nucleus by a company called Audio Imperia. My friend eric from the band foxing gave me some pointers about string arrangements at some point during the pandemic and i tried to exercise his tips w this arrangement. was happy w how it came out!

initially this song was going to go on the Jophus record, [TRUE CRIME], but i ended up fighting for it to be included as an interlude on LP3 cuz it fit the narrative so well and i wanted there to be some kind of lead up to Black Mold anyways. I was weirded out at the concept of a song as big as black mold existing on an island and wanted there to be a warm up and cool down it was in between. this felt right. everyone agreed when listening to my solo demos altogether sequenced as the record is i think.
