Red's Report (February Edition)

Hey everyone, sorry this one took me so long, I was hoping to get farther along with Samus--some of the scripting has been a bit trickier than expected. So, let's get right into it. Here's the progress from february and early march:

Untitled Samus Animation

As you'll see from the screenshot, animation is complete, and I'm up to 47 individual animations for this work. I wanted to take it just a bit further than what I did for the Jessie x Arbok project, so the options for proceeding through the animations are a bit less linear and have a little more interactivity to them. I've got the basics and some placeholders laid out, all the hard work is behind the scenes in scripting it all. The less linear nature of this project is where most of the complexity comes from.

This probably doesn't explain too much more, but I wanted to include my initial sketch from when I was brainstorming the interface.

This bug has already been hella squashed but I thought it was funny enough to share.

Anyway, things are a bit slow but on track. Onto the next thing:


Monthly drawing poll

There was a three-way tie between 1, 3, and 4 and as much as I've been wanting to draw Chun-Li (and it would have been good timing since apparently her birthday is in march), I went with #4. This is the end result. Well, for now. Another reason this report was delayed was because I was feeling particularly inspired, and constructed this drawing with animation in mind. I'll share the full set of image variants (there's a lot) in a later post, the animation will have to come some time later.

So now it's time for the next poll, I'll post that up in a little while.
