It never ceases to amaze me how Marvel (i.e. society) is okay with graphically killing 32 Spider-People (from my last count) in Spider-Verse, but not even letting the characters state that they had sex (even off-panel). Disembowelment: Okay. Nipples: Nope. Head chopping: Sure. Groping: Hell no. Biting limbs off: Multiple limbs, please. Sexy Making out: Hands off the merchandise. Numerous Bleeding holes on a corpse: Yeah! Mutual Finger Sucking: Are you mad? That list goes on and on...

2014-12-25 18:41:23 +0000 UTCI think she's a character with a lot of potential. But I really don't like the way they're pushing "The Bride" idea down our throats. They did not let the character develop enough for us to like her for what she is, but instead they want us to like her for what they tell she is. There's a abysmal difference between the two. One is to tell, the other is to show. Maybe with her new ongoing, things will become clearer. But right now, I don't really love her. Which is very different from what I feel about Spider-Gwen or Mayday, who I love for what they proved themselves to be, so far. Cindy feels like a character put in there just to fuck Peter. Paradoxically, I should love that, right? Except that it feels artificial for what they shown so far. I believe there's potential. But so far, it's been only wasted on the implicit sexual parts. And, honestly, they could do a much better job by going explicit on those parts. And I think I've been showing some about that, right? =)
