Starting to think about Original Content

Let's talk about something important:Eventually, there will be one day, sooner or later, that I will be forced to stop doing existing content parodies.I don't actually want that (and I'm pretty sure neither do you guys) but reality will come one day and hit this nice little place we got here. So, I'd like to start thinking of a contingency plan and would love to know your opinion. If I started do original content, with my own created characters, while dealing with the same themes (supers, clones, incest, shapeshifting aliens, etc), would you still stick around? It's not something urgent, but I think it's better to start thinking of contingencies way before any emergencies surface.Thoughts?

Starting to think about Original Content

Comments

You've been doing good work so far, don't see the need to leave just because some of the characters change.

Horizon

If you could stick with superheroes in general (you're own), I'd definitely still be around.

Andrew C

Thanks!!! I will...

Tracy Scops

I absolutly agree with GD.

Andreas Sieckmann

After responding to the most recent two comics, it occurs to me that going original might open things up in good ways. As much as I've been loving the ride, there is sometimes disconnect as a result of the variation from comicverse to Tracyverse. New characters wouldn't have that problem. We can appreciate them on their own merits, feelings, personalities, kinks and all. And it would even allow for storytelling/kinks that would be hard to work in in the Spider-verse. *puts on raincoat* Bring it on.

GregD

Cockmilk and cunthoney galore!!! Grab your raincoats: Things will be getting even wetter...

Tracy Scops

I think it's clear by now that you've got some dedicated fans, TS. Lead us to the promised land of cockmilk and cunthoney.

GregD

I'm late to the party. But I like the idea of you doing your own original stuff. I mean, who knows, you might be able to create things even more interesting since you won't have to work within a certain field. Since you're in the early phase of it, you got a jump start. You can think and ponder over time about something you'd like to see. And a story you'd like to write, and even pitch some ideas to us over time. See what sticks, I'm sure we would have no problems with giving you our honest thoughts. And since you more or less already have artists working for you, it seems like something you could definitely pull off.

Akira Inugumi

I'm sure there's a way to use fluid costumes made of naughty aliens and still make it original. McFarlane himself did it with Spawn after his creation of Venom. I'll find a way to make it work.

Tracy Scops

I'm here only for the symbiote...

DeadKesar

I second the motion, these are great ideas!

Vervalsen

That actually sums up my ideal plan: 2 monthly stories, having one core title and the other being some orbiting moon title. Those ideas of yours could work well in a voting system, given that I would probably restrict the choices to some sort of range. I'll start mapping and planning those soon.

Tracy Scops

I've been pretty quiet lately, but unless something drastic happens, I'm in this for the long haul. You've proven your skills at creating compelling stories and hot superhero sex. There is no reason that couldn't continue under your own creations - heck, people like Rupert Everton and James DeLay do it, and have a powerful following. Mind you, they are also artists, but if you continue to hire quality artists as you've been doing, I see no reason why your fanbase wouldn't follow you to your new creations. Yeah, there are going to be some who are only in it for the Spidey, but I'd like to think you've gained a little more loyalty than that. My main request for your future Tracyverse, assuming that you keep two titles a month (I realize that's a gamble, since it's original creations), would be that you have a core title, akin to Spidercest (Tracycest?), that you do every month - a regular title. The other could be a Tracyverse Spotlight-style comic with a different new character in each issue. Let fans vote on who they'd like to see more of. Alternatively, a Tracyverse Team-Up title could be fun, where you take your main character and team them up with a new character each time. You could also implement the voting idea there for who the fans would like to see more of. Just a couple of ideas off the top of my head. :)

Krimson Kodai

You give me a warm feeling with those kind words. Thank you so much.

Tracy Scops

A very open-minded sexually liberated universe for sure!

Tracy Scops

Interesting... Maybe in the future... Don't forget that one can always grab a Co-Writer class pledge and co-develop an 8-page story to be made sooner.

Tracy Scops

Exactly.

Dampflok

I agree with the others if the quality of the stories and art stays the same, I would definitely continue to support you because the current concept of spidey parody is awesome but has been more about the quality you and the other artists have been putting out that has kept me around.

Brandon Schall

Lastly, would you consider my MC2 Spidercest idea in the future?

SH2307

Original comics works for me as well. You can build your own universe.

VC

Still in production.

Tracy Scops

Forgot to mention. What happened to that Spider-Girl story?

SH2307

Agreed

Hivedragon

I do plan on making polls and allowing patrons to vote. But it has to be done properly and under a microverse of sustainable conditions, otherwise things tend to much to the nonsense.

Tracy Scops

My main objective is to avoid working with anything created by other people, in the future. But like I said, it's something for the long-term. For now, there'll be plenty of Spidey content coming, Spidercest included.

Tracy Scops

You probably mean that it's all about the characters, their stories and their naughty habits, right? If so, I couldn't agree more.

Tracy Scops

I stand on the shoulder of great artists. But I rely on them with all my writing skills.

Tracy Scops

That's actually a very good idea. But I'll need to organize my finances very well in order to pull that trick flawlessly with a mind-blowing prestige act.

Tracy Scops

Yep, that C&D would be the main reason for something like this to happen. Being kicked out of Patreon for something like that would hurt a lot. I have researched enough to feel confident that Parodies (porn or not) are in fact legal according to US laws. But the unlimited exp level of Disney lawyers would be something a bit too big for me to handle with my newbie attorney skills.

Tracy Scops

True and understandable, here's a thought maybe something on which us supporters can vote about, but for looooooooooong way in the future.

Hivedragon

Tracyverse...? That does sound almost, but not quite, entirely unlike self-indulgence. But it does make me wet in unexpected tender parts...

Tracy Scops

My main concern is to avoid working with anything created by other people in the future. I plan to someday get rid of the lawyersharks that I fear might be hiding under my bed. But like I said, it's something for the long-term.

Tracy Scops

Raunchy, sweaty, noisy love is really all we need.

Tracy Scops

My main concern is to avoid working with anything created by other people in the future. I plan to someday get rid of the lawyersharks hiding under my bed. But like I said, it's something for the long-term. For now, there's still a bunch of Spidey content coming.

Tracy Scops

Well original comics in the future do sound good and a bit worrying, but if its the same quality with your present comics I will continue supporting you. And you could also do other parody's then just the comics. Other then that your not losing this supporter that easily.

Hivedragon

As most of the superheroes/heroines mean nothing to me I am all for you going your own way with your own characters.

Dampflok

This is going to be somewhat long I think I've already mentioned you about it involving Spidercest over a month ago, and you did say you're aiming for more then 20 or so. I still think you should continue it if you're willing to do so, but if it comes to that then you would have to give it an ending. My ending for it as you already know is that Peter and Jessica end up getting married and had the most hardcore sex that lasted for a whole day. See if you can make it as a 3 or 4 part arc, and make the last issue 10 or 12 pages if you can With one Spidercest story ending with Ult. Peter and Jessica, then so shall another Spidercest story begin with Mayday and April. I haven't seen you do much Mayday series, but recently you showed the Spider-Girl and Spider-Man 2099, and to me it looked really good as the concept is pretty much there. I think that would serve as a good replacement if you involve her clone also, and like the original it would carry the same theme but in a more sisterly love that wants to have more fun. Have the two sisters do lots of sexual experiences together as they both come across both heroes and villains. Lots of incest, lesbian, tentacles, gang-bang, etc. Since April has her symbiote powers then she can do lots of fun stuff with Mayday as a result. You can also try adding your own stuff if you want. It would be titled "All-New Spidercest" or "MC2 Spidercest". Take your pick and consider it if you plan to end the original Spidercest series I also mentioned to you the chance if you would do an on-going "Spider-Gwen" story if possible, but also the possibility of doing a non-Spider-Man themed story involving an all female Avengers team. Well an all-female Young Avengers team. Have them in their own adventures doing whatever you want them to. If you consider it then message me about team members If you're planning to make your own Universe then see if you can come up with something and perhaps we can vote on it. Also we can try submitting some idea if you need it. Some people here already did. And if I'm available then yes I'll stick around. You've been one of the few people I actually like

SH2307

Awesome artists, Shape shifting aliens and love is all I need.

MizukiAfterDark

It really depend of the level of similarity between the new characters and existing content characters. If the characters are obvious rip-off of existing design, I would probably stay because I know the quality of your stuff. But if your whole content was original characters, I wouldn't have become a Patreon. When I speak about a level of similarity, Solaria of LeadPoisonArt is a godd exemple. Solaria is a copy of nu52 Supergirl, so it picked my interest. But more generic superhero wouldn't have interrested me.

Hentai Borg

I know i will stick around as long as your artwork will be great as ever when that day comes and I'm pretty sure you'll find other ideas to use you been good so far

Richard De La Torre

I'd stick around, however unless something major changes to where you can be sued for porn parody, I don't think you'll have to worry. if you choose to make a transition or just mix it up with original content even before the C&D from Disney comes down, I'd think it'd be better to have kick around some ideas now just in case. If you want you could in fact use my characters at no charge/fee. Fallverse.tumblr.com/#

That black guy

If the characters are interesting and the story keep the quality we see today, I think it will be fun! A thing you can try is to add 3 page stories with this original content at the end of the spiderstuff, to sense te acceptance of the material. After that, it's just a matter of expanding it to the full 8 page comics. The development of the new characters could be made by bios, short stories and posts here on Patreon. But the answer is yes! I'd stick around to see it :)

Flexa

The main idea would be to start with semi-generic supers and show how their powers and personalities would influence their sexlives. But it's all a sandbox for now. No real work so far.

Tracy Scops

I agree with the other posters that if you continue with the same quality of artists and storylines, than most of your fans will stay. Some people only want what they want.

William Stepp

That makes sense, particularly if as Luke Roper suggested that they could be linked, allowing you to create your own "Tracyverse" or whatever you'll end up creating. I'm sure theres quite a bit of canon fluff in the spiderverse that sometimes railroads some of your own ideas, although I suspect the sheer depth and breadth of the spiderverse creates its own opportunities for storytelling, such as that recent comic of yours about SpiderOtto getting a guilt complex and allowing Black Cat to get captured -> Prison Bitch.

Vervalsen

Probably a mix of the two. Some characters might be more present than others. But I'd keep the whole thing mostly like the current thing I'm doing with Spidey: Short individual stories that might tell a larger arc when you put them in sequence.

Tracy Scops

I'm pretty sure it's manageable. If one looks at incase's short stories, for instance, you can get into the story pretty fast if enough thinking and effort is put into the first dialogues and visual narrative.

Tracy Scops

As long as you keep choosing awesome artists to illustrate your writing, I'm sure the vast majority will stick around, particularly spiderverse neophytes such as myself who are here for fun stuff :) That being said, is 8 pages enough to establish new characters in a new universe?

Vervalsen

that sounds like a cool plan, would you be like building your own porn comic universe with linking characters, or would you keep them as seperate individual stories?
