INTRODUCING: Unfinished Business
Added 2019-03-08 20:36:23 +0000 UTCWith Love Match ending this week, next week will see the start of a new story. Here's my pitch for it. I hope you'll stick around!
Jae Kim is a private investigator in high demand because he's comfortable following people into the walled neighborhoods in every urban center where werewolves, vampires, and other supernatural creatures live. These "Wolftowns" were built in the fifties, after the infamous weaponized lycanthropy battles of World War II that led to tens of thousands of werewolf refugees settling in the USA. Jae's a veteran of the second Kosovo war (2012), and he's got a hundred-year-old Russian werebear ghost with him, so werewolves don't bother him--unless they're his ex-boyfriend.
Fortunately, Czoltan lives in Wolftown Detroit and Jae's moved to Chicago, so their orbits don't cross. Until an old war buddy of his asks him a favor: his wife has been slipping into Wolftown Detroit and he thinks she's cheating, but he's disabled and can't go out on his own. No problem, Jae thinks. Wolftown Detroit is a big place and he doesn't have to run into his ex there.
But when he winds up running for his life from his friend's wife and her gun-toting werewolf paramour, Wolftown Detroit seems very small, and he only knows of one place to go.
