Such a sweet dream ending so abruptly, ain't it?

She tends to be carried away by her impulses sometimes. =)

Little backstage fact: This comic was written back in Jan/15. For a very large number of personal reasons, it took a loooong time to get to you 1 year later. A lot of stories were written after that and, maybe, that's why this one feels a bit bland: Most of the 24 other comics I released in 2015 were written after this one. I'm not saying this as any kind of justification for anything, but it might put some bit of light and perspective on what I've been doing since I started on Patreon. Before I came here in Oct/14, I would release 1 comic every 5/6 months. Now it's 2 a month, done on my spare time, using your gentle support to pay fairly for my wonderful artist collaborators. And keep in mind that as much as I stuggle for polishing and professional presentation, I'm still an amateur at this (for those who don't know, amateur etymology comes from "the one who does for love"). I do struggle to get better, and I really believe that I can only so so by taking chances and making mistakes. I definitely wouldn't call this month's comics mistakes, but I do agree they could be better if I knew from start what I learned after seeing them completed.... ...which I NOW do. =) Once again, thank your for your fair review. It's a great part of what makes me correct course and try to make better comics.

I think this is the first time since this whole thing has begun that I found I didn't like either of the comics during a calendar month. Now, to be clear, I didn't have an overwhelmingly negative reaction to this one like I did Arachnid Sexoskeletons. On the whole, my reaction to Feline Voyuer was far more nuanced and complex. Let me see if I can start outlining it. First, the art. I don't think Cocksmith has ever been tapped before that I remember, but when I realized that I didn't really enjoy the comic that much, the art was the first thing I went back to. My complaint here, I think, is not that the art itself is bad. The only artist I didn't like previously was mainly because the aesthetic was unappealing. Here, the aesthetic is instead... just too bland. It doesn't feel to me like it has any character to it. It's like looking at picture perfect Playboy playmates, or maybe more accurately, plastic Barbie dolls. Only a couple times does it ever seem that appealing to me, and it's in a very few of the facial expressions. While the angular nature of Cheese-Ter's art may not work for me at times, I cannot deny it has character and flavor. Cocksmith's art just never comes alive for me. But then, there's overall story itself. This is critical, because I realized that I was starting to have some deja-vu: the way I felt back during Bunnies and Pussies. And then my immediate reaction was:' hey, wait a minute, I like Autumn's art!' 'Yes.' I said to myself, 'but can you honestly say that maybe your meh reaction to the story of B+P might have made you look twice at Autumn's art?' When I wrote my review for B+P, I was quick to come to Autumn's defense. But now I have to wonder if my reaction to Cocksmith is entirely fair. If you're not enjoying the part that matters most to you, isn't that going to throw everything else slightly off kilter? When the comic was first pitched, I felt skeptical. What new ground was this story going to tread that previous comics with Fel and MJ hadn't? Is Voyuerism itself enough to base an entire comic on. I think the jury is still out on that, as I feel like I could have said 'yes' if different characters were involved, if the formula was switched up a little more. But as it stands, it just feel like the overall response to this comic is the same as B+P: decidedly mediocre. But all this naysaying is getting a little foul in my mouth, so let me say what I did like: Tracy's dialogue, and the details laid out therein. First of all, MJ gets a shitload of talking space, and I loved it. I loved this idea that apparently she's doing sex scenes now (like was thrown around way back during Erik Larsen's run on Amazing), and not just sex scenes, but something that sounds like it belongs in 'Henry and June'. I love MJ trying to be all porny, and taking the lead in some kinky (but not too kinky, hee!) roleplaying. I love MJ as 'sexy doctor'. But in the end, my reaction to the whole thing was much like Peter's after the whole thing was done. Interesting effort, but just didn't hit the right notes for me. And even after having worked through the whole thing in my head, what I'm trying to figure out if the real issue for me was just* that the story and theme didn't interest me, or if the problem is that it just had too many parts that were 'okay', rather than great. Feline Voyeur: functional, but not really worth a second look.

MJ with dimples looks amazing, but Felicity is trusting that closet dildo waay too much :0

Peter's definitely woken up to worse.
