Quick question: How many promos is too many promos?

I've been told before that some of you think I post too many promos for the upcoming comics of the current cycle.

For this month, I produced 15 promos for Spidercest and 14 for Liquorish.

My question is, should I keep posting all of them here until Sep 30th or do you prefer to keep them at a smaller sampling of the contents.

I will still post all of them on the usual public galleries (HF, Tumblr), but I'm wondering if you'd prefer if I share them all here too.

Let me know?

Personally I think ones a week would be good.

Probaby way less, according to the other patrons. Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for the feedback.

That's mostly what I already do. The only full page I show is the first one, along with the cover and intro. But thanks for the feedback.

Twice a week would have been better. Sometimes you went overboard with your promos. Our Valentine was a perfect example of over amount of promos and that fact that you spoiled too much of it. The cover/bio/first page you can still do, but I would still keep the promos less. Once or twice a week would be better

SH2307

More zoom-ins, less full pages. Want to actually be surprised...

RPG!

Once every two weeks would be a good amount to be honest :)

Akira Inugumi

I would say 4 to 6 per comic. that way people can see what sort of material is in them without spoiling the mystery of what might happen in the comics.

Steven

Probably 2 each per week would work for me

Gotcha... I'll think of a way to make that work...

I mean putting all the promos into one post, puttning all the previews into one post not all of it together in one post. That way there are regular updates over the month while keeping a similar but more streamlined version of the same format you've done. Example: -Promos: Liqourish Whiskers & Spidercest #10 -Previews(Covers/Intro/First Page): Liquorish Wiskers & Spidercest #10 -Availability List and New this month (Putting both into one -Guest spotlight: (Artist/ project name here) That will easily half the amount of updates you do overall, so people don't feel flooded while giving out the same amount of information

Alright. Thanks!

I hear ya. Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks for the feedback. That would make a total of 2-3 promo messages monthly, since I only reveal the new comics on the 15th. There'll still be a few other messages regarding other topics, but as I understand you guys would prefer me to keep the notifications to a minimum.

Tracy Scops

I wouldn't say most (since the comics usually have around 40 panels per issue) but I understand what you mean. Thanks for the feedback.

Tracy Scops

Duly noted. And sorry for answering you and making it 13... =P By the way, if you prefer, you can change the notification settings to receive less notificiations on the link below: https://www.patreon.com/settings

I could do that around the 29th. And it's probably best to keep them only as downloadable files, so that the patrons who rather not see them before the comics are out can enjoy the novelty during the story and get the files later, if they want.

Tracy Scops

Thanks for the feedback! Special images that don't take part of the comic depend on the artist feeling like doing something like that on their own, for free, which is a very rare thing to happen.

Seems like most people would like to get way less updates, so I'll probably go that way. The bright side is that you can still see all promos on my outer galleries, before you make your mind about which ones to get monthly: http://tracy-scops.tumblr.com http://www.hentai-foundry.com/pictures/user/tracyscops

let the mystery build a bit, I'd say about half as many promos would be good for me.

awr74

The fewer the better for me. Like foxeye, I kinda feel like I've seen some of the juiciest bits of the comic before it even comes out and I like having something to look forward to. If there were promo image that don't actually happen in the comic, but carry the tone of it them that would work too.

Kris

I feel like you should condense the final promos, sketch oreviews of the full story and stuff like that into a singular post with downloadable/viewable jpegs

That black guy

Once per week is enough. I've got 12 mails in the last 7 days alone. Too much.

svvh

I feel like by the time the comic comes out I've seen most of it through promos. :x I think a promo pic or two a week is enough.

FoxeyeValkyrie

Me personally, I'd like to know what I'm paying for. Example I've only seen 2 promos for the gwen one and I'm undecided on spending 10 instead of 5.

316walker

Yeah, I'm with Peter - one a week seems more than adequate.

JK

I feel like a one per week for each with the last one being a full page without text would be best. 29 is way too many.

able_to_think

Too many promos as it is, I'd rather just have 2 or 3 at most, rather than over a dozen
