Really liked this one, the art and writing was very good comedy, especially on Kate's facial expressions.

2019-03-18 18:12:51 +0000 UTCIn the past Tracy has come up with enjoyable parodies featuring characters from comics I didn't like, but sadly this was not one of those cases. The art was a little weird for me. The characters always looked just a little bit off-balance to my eyes. Like they were clumsily posed action figures about to fall over. I tried really hard to just get over it but I couldn't. As for the characters, most of them were pretty annoying to me. Basically I only really liked the Hawkeyes. I'm not going to count against the book because I also found them annoying in the original comic, but it is what it is.

2019-03-18 16:16:02 +0000 UTCWest Coast Avengers is a cheeky romp that honors an interesting concept that Marvel is now cruelly putting down before it can even breathe. The parody is superb even if the timing stings, nearly everything about the issue screams crazy risk and virtually all of it lands. Call out to Letty self-insert, who doesn't wish they had the guts to do the same? Going off on a tangent to express a point. Clint, in a spoof of his old man spot that he is often put into in the book proper, has only recently discovered spoof porn. He then references a sex scene between Black Widow and the Hulk from the long defunct Extreme Comixxx that actually wildly predated the Avengers movie much less their actual romance from AoU. Thats dedication, pulling out some long ago memories for a joke and not even one references the much bigger and better ABP catalogue. Whatever the total quality of their films they still gave us a long and slow building romance between Supergirl and Barbara Gordon, and for that I'll always be thankful. Most compendium of scenes stories fall flat, still hoping for another Sue Storm book, because there isn't enough juice in the lovemaking. Here it would only really work this way, an orgy just wouldn't rub the right way. A shocking number of diverse scene compositions play out, in fact we are introduced to the team in one scene and then get an climax in a secondary scene now that I think about it. Good stuff all around.

Plus her fucked silly crazy sex talk was fap fuel at it's finest, which I feel is a Lety staple in these books. A sequel with more Katie-Creampie, perhaps adding BRODOK, and some Tigra, would be too much? Maybe, but it's wanted 8/10
