The sexual scenes were a little too plain angled, not necessarily bad although they could have used more dynamic scenes. The dialogue was pretty hot, I would personally have had Gwen bending over a bit after her clothing was ripped from a villain fight, or a flash back scene of the battle. Maybe teasing Miles but not really, adding a bit of forbidden lust. I would have exaggerated her features to be a bit more curvy, though nothing wrong with her body. I found the MJ and Miles scene to be hot, but the scene between Gwen, Miles, and MJ to be a little bit too rushed. Curviness is good in the art, I really admire that. Adds sensuality to it. Maybe Gwen would be a bit more toned than curvy, but nothing wrong with making her thick. Adding more dirty dialogue and less normal, average, everyday ordinary kind of dialogue is also good. Smut words, and curses. Miles being a bit too fresh faced is also not necessarily a turn off but also takes away from the realism. I would make him older, maybe? Just a thought.

Reacting to crazier, more aggressive or just more whimsical characters is perfect for him. In the books that focus on Miles he feels boring and bland but here his generic personality actually serves as a good foil to Gwen's crazy mixed signals and MJ's seductive wiles.

2018-05-11 16:41:06 +0000 UTCGwen's costume joke was as meta as can be, but after the meeting in issue one it made sense. It's almost a running gag in Scopsverse in general as Spider-Gwen's R card has more names than everyone else combined. Off the top of my head it includes The Bangbrodas (Dick and Willy), Kingpin ("Murderdock") twice, Vulture, Lizard (Harry), Bodega Bandit, Venom, a white symbiote, and Solus. If you think references to her many appearances is a weird way to open this review, well it's impossible to separate her lineage from all the other stories. One of the few direct sequels in the Scopsverse, Weaving Fluids 2 could easily be labelled Spider-Gwen 4 or Miles 5. Overall though I'd call it Em Jay's Downtime because she was the prime mover and best character. The highlight in both sex and character work was Em Jay who I've been wanting to see more of for a while. While Gwen seems to be throwing cold water on fun throughout the issue, Red lit the flames over and over. Despite only wearing her own band tee, how vain Ms. Watson, she was the most muscular and domineering character. Her clever characterization, more developed here than in the actual Earth-65, and rock star persona were brilliant and tantalizing details. She was decadent, vivacious, controlling, and inexhaustible. Of course she already bedded GG and BB before finally tasting Gwendolyn. Like many rock bands the singer casts a shadow over her bandmates in the public eye, and this tension is a superb erotic idea explored here. The suggestion, unseen, of her with the band itself may be the cruelest unseen reference since all the way back to Kitty's first threeway in Spidercest 5. Although I hate to do this, the art felt a bit rushed. The bandhouse barely felt like a space, much less a home. The Fridge was an outline of shapes, the walls a grey post-impressionist smear. This disparity is best seen in the last panel, where perfectly articulated backs of heads in the foreground look upon Em who is a mess of crooked features in the center. Gwen and especially Miles were a bit shallower though. The conflict at the start doesn't jibe with the good vibrations of the first issue. Maybe the sex dungeon and father plot (really just a kickstarter) worked well for the first issue but their complete abandonment here is a striking detail. What seemed important before has become irrelevant, during the actual sex Gwen actually notes Miles is awfully quiet. His reply speaks volumes, hes just trying not to climax because that means the sex (and the issue) will be over. I think to end this line here makes sense, the words "the end" replace TBC, as the biggest pairings between Gwen and Miles have really been exhausted and they can now enjoy new partners. After all Spider-Gwen 2 ended on a promise of a band of bitches.

Wonder who the third may be, because while the obvious answer is 616 Peter there may be another you got in mind
