Alright, it's time for the the poll for September's body swap art.
The options this month are
- Makima <-> Aki (Chainsaw Man)
- Misa Amane <-> Light Yagami (Death Note)
- Shelly <-> Archie (Pokemon)
- Esdeath <-> Tasumi (Akame Ga Kill)
- Lucy Heartfilia <-> Natsu (Fairy Tail)
As usual the top two choices get art for this month.
If Esdeath or Lucy win, suggestions for the art would be appreciated as I'm not familiar with Akame Ga Kill or Fairy Tail.

If you need to know anything about Lucy and Natsu, they are the respective main female and male leads of the series. Essentially they get caught in a lot of situations that are generally comical but they also have serious moments. As Fairy Tail is known for fanservice...it’s essentially par for the course in most situations for them to be lumped together in that they also have a couple like vibe. They fill the duo of Natsu is dense but strong, kind of an idiot but smart when it matters. Lucy is smart and normal fairly powerful in her own right. She trusts him for the most important stuff though. The ironic thing is that, Fairy Tail has revisited the body swap trope a few times over the years with different conditions including a filler as early as ep 19 with a scroll that did the chaos, a very late fight had one between 2 females that was closer to possesion/supression of the others will, and the 100 years quest sequel had a recent arc with a bunch of alchemists, one was a guy who could swap the bodies of his opponents depending on certain conditions like their bonds, be it love, rivalry, or weakness. He did this first to Gray and the girl he loved Juvia, it was a short "poof' type of forced change that fully changed the two targets giving them each others bodies and powers. It was done a second time with Gray and Natsu and Lucy and another woman named Brandish. No idea if the anime will do something different later, but this is just if you needed a fill in if you ever wanted to give the concept a spin, regardless of the poll. The vibe of it all is that, if a swap was done with Natsu and Lucy, we basically get the idea being the type of thing with Natsu not knowing how to handle Lucy's body or powers, calling her heavy, complaining about back pain, throwing issues with her outfit like her skirt. Lucy would predictably be angered, having Natsu's fire just emit from her own anger (as his emotion effects his fire power, she would basically be comically angry in his body. Despite how the series has done a swap trope a few times over the years it never actively involved these 2 despite how close they are. Again if you needed info regarding hiw natsu and Lucy interact be it if they win here or if you decided to do a swap with them at another point, this is more or less a summary of their dynamic just to fill you in.

2024-08-25 01:52:54 +0000 UTCBut I think Lucy would be fairly easy since Natsu sort of has a crush on her, and there’s already been a body swap episode in the series where their team was commissioned to translate a spell not knowing it was a body swap one, the only difference is this pair didn’t happen.
