I really enjoyed working on this piece between the research and the drawing itself. I love Chinese Lunar New Year. The culture is so rich and there's always new things that I am able to learn about it every year. I would love to do more of pieces like this in the future where I do some research on a culture or cultural event and then do my best to pay tribute to that by incorporating the things that I've learned about it. I find everyone's cultures to be so unique and beautiful. I love how different we all are while also being the same: Human.
