I hope that everyone had a safe, happy holiday and I am wishing all of you a very prosperous 2021! With that said... as some of you know, the Chinese Lunar New Year is in February. Specifically February 11th to the 17th. And you may also know that I am not Chinese. However, I absolutely adore the festivities, culture, history and lore behind it.
This year is year of the Ox. And for the last two years I have done a wallpaper for Chinese New Year -- or around that time since I am normally late (I have a schedule that does not exactly adhere to the schedule for this festival). Regardless, I would like to do another wallpaper and since I've allowed myself more time for each of these, I plan to try and do a little more research into the Lunar New Year for this wallpaper. Specifically what qualities are commonly shared by most people born in the year of the Ox and incorporating that into my work some how.
