Zero's Rejects || Oh no...

Uh oh.
Zero's Rejects again.
Its been a while. A really long while actually. I posted the first one in 2019 and didn't actually post another one. I wouldn't have blamed you all if you thought that I wasn't going to post another one. Really, who wants to share their failings?

Not me, but also me.
In the failing there is something to learn and growth to be had.

I pulled these out during the first post and wrote a little bit about them too, so this will be interesting for all of us I hope! Lets have a look at some of the things that have languished away on my hard drive, shall we?

For those of you that are unaware, that first piece is suppose to be fan art of Freya from FFIX. I always wanted to draw her but I made the mistake of trying a new program without actually learning it first. Started it, fell out of love with it and since then it has been rotting on my computer. Can't win them all~.

This second piece here was going great and I was going to make it a wallpaper a while back. Yes, that is a moogle. FF is one of my favorite game series of all time. Anyway, after a bit I kept getting distracted, work got in the way. and I had to make a adjustments here and there and just fell out of love with the project so it has been chucked. Another one that has just been sitting. Ah well~.

Third up we have... a personal piece a started a while back of Mr.Silas but it got forgotten. Now I don't have the drive to finish it. Everything would need to be reworked so this one is a loss. Maybe next time I doodle it will be of him with water again who knows.
I did actually end up doing a piece of him by the water all because you guys voted for him on for a character poll. I have completely forgotten about this piece, again, but would you look at that! Weird. 

And then there is this last one here... This one is of our characters Aoi and Riki. It's a bit older but it's one of those that looked better in my head. Once I put it down I realized how many problems it had. The perspectives, the proportions, just everything. So, here at a sketch it will sit. FOREVER.

You know... I thought I might have something profound to say, but in fact, I don't think I do. There's not much I can say that hasn't been said before, but I suppose that sometimes its worth repeating: Not always will everything you try to do work out the first time you do it. Sometimes you improve the more you do it. Sometimes the joy is in the doing it even if you're bad at it. Failure isn't the end. Do I have pieces lingering around that I view as failed and will never finish? Yeah, obviously. But I learned something from each of those pieces and in the moment, the joy was in the doing, regardless of if they ended up not turning out. 

Life is short. Do the thing. Even if you're "bad at it" or you "fail the first time", its worth doing some more if you find joy in it.
