Wow... What a week!

Hello my loves!

I hope you all had a good week- it really has been such a time of turmoil and unrest, which has disturbed me so much but I've done my best to research and learn more about all the issues recent events have brought to the forefront.  I've written a lot about it on my Facebook and Instagram pages, so please feel free to check those out if you haven't already.  

In other news, I wanted to share some nasty photos of a situation at home a couple nights ago!! Rambo and I are replacing the engine in our 1956 Bel Air (her name is Red!) and the new engine arrived in a crate.  There are pieces of metal sticking out the edge- and we're both not sure exactly how it happened, but as I was recording in my studio, I got a call from Rambo in the garage on the phone asking me very calmly to come over with a towel since there was a lot of blood. AHH!!

It was a deep cut and we could see the tissue poking out (yuck) so we got in my car, and drove to the nearest Urgent Care which is only a block away.  However, that urgent care center apparently closes at 6PM, as well as the other 5 closest ones.  What kind of medical center closes at 6PM!  But thankfully, I found one that was still open and took our new Nevada Health Insurance plan, so we went over there.  They wouldn't let me in due to Covid, and the neighborhood was a little sketchy especially with the rioting situation.   We decided it would be better for me to drive home since the nurse said it would be at least 1 hour, instead of being a sitting duck in the parking lot.  

I drove home, recorded a couple more cues (was on a super tight deadline to finish over 20 cues, with up to 50 (!!!) tracks of cello to record on each one) and then went back a hour later to pick him up.

I'm really glad that it went smoothly, with all things considered- he got a tetanus shot and a prescription for antibiotic cream to be applied twice daily (by me, the wonderful loving wife hehe) and I was also very grateful to be given a one day extension on one of the two movies I was supposed to deliver all the files by that evening at Midnight- both for Hans. 

Rambo is okay now- just a bit uncomfortable, but he will for sure always wear gloves when working on the car or around any sharp/ dangerous equipment!  Please be safe you guys! You never know when metal or other random objects will sneak attack.

Yesterday, I recorded for nearly 9 hours straight to finish everything including a last minute addition, and I was so exhausted mentally and physically (and emotionally after this week's events) that I completely binged on BJ's Deep Dish Pizza and a Pazookie in bed watching TV after I sent everything off, among other yummy things.  I am semi-embarrassed to admit (and semi-proud) that I literally ate until my stomach hurt.  Yes, I know it's unhealthy to have that link between food and comfort you guys, but sometimes you just need one of those days, right?

By the way, BJ's has 1/2 off all Large Deep Dish Pizzas right now- on Mondays, or on other days you can use the coupon code HALFOFF.  My little brother told me this and I wish he didn't as it's very hard to hold myself off from such a good deal, haha!

Anyway, now I'm rambling... but just wanted to share a bit about the last few days as it has been very eventful in many ways.
