Monthly Overview
Added 2017-03-02 18:07:38 +0000 UTCIt's another month, yay.
Just a routine reminder: if you're not in the Discord server yet, send me an ask and I'll give you an invite! The bot should've added you if you synced up your account in account settings , however.
I had to close out commissions earlier than I intended due to stress, however I'll keep commissions open to patrons.
PV02 will be getting an information bomb soon (like literally in a few days).
As far as rewards go, I'll be sending out messages soon for redeeming them. As a reminder, if you're in the $25 and $40 tiers, you can store up to 1 month's extra request if you wanted to get something more intricate or detailed or simply forgot to/couldn't think of anything for that month. I can't do extended carry-overs just cause the tiers are already below my standard commission rates, and I don't want to get bombarded with a super major request or multiple.
I'm also trying to think of something to replace the popularity poll. It's just not working out how I had hoped, and I don't want the votes to dictate me drawing the same 3 characters over and over again, when I'd normally draw them regardless. That doesn't feel like a reward.
So what I may do instead would be an opt-in selection, available to the $10+ tiers. You can drop your own character into a form, and then I'll randomly select one to do.
Cause, OCs had no fighting chance in the monthly polls, and that wasn't fair.
For student streams, I'm going to start decreeing a stable theme. Last time the topics covered were all completely unrelated to one another. If you're in the $5 or higher tier, start thinking of a general area you want me to cover, and then specifics inside that area. E.g., "character design," and then stuff like "body types" or "stylizing" or "color theory." Or maybe something more like "how to progress as an artist" and then things like "gesturing, efficiency, anatomy, how to decide what to focus on" etc.
And lastly at the moment I am working on an animation test for a job. If I get it it'd be contract work, not employee work, but still. So wish me luck there.
