quick update to the page
Added 2017-05-03 07:09:26 +0000 UTCI've decided to hide the amount received per month in pledges.
I'll be more than happy to tell people the number privately, but on a public page I feel like people see any number above $300 and think 'oh that's enough to live on they're making more than enough' which isn't even remotely true. I'm just below $500 atm again, but if it weren't for leftovers from Youtube and my savings, I wouldn't be able to sustain my work.
I remember someone back in SFS once thought that we should make a sequel to a 14 minute animation because our Patreon was making $200 per project, even if we had no intention to make a sequel and we didn't want to do anything more in that fandom. For the record, usually the cheapest freelance animation goes for is around $100 per second of footage.
I kinda just want to avoid people pulling that argument on me when I'm trying to do this full time and not as supplementary work.
