ALRIGHT I think this is done. Here's two variants showing a few possibilities and pre-made things.

These may look like gimmicky OCs, but they specifically demonstrate a variety of modular parts.

The way this is built, I can VERY easily:

Swap out ANY color instantly, or even replace it with a texture. (Remember the original was just red white and blue? It still is! The color override is replacing specific colors with other ones.)
Adjust the bust size (small size in the first image works from A to C, big size works from F to like... Q. Which is absurdly big.)
That tail? Switching from cat to fox was literally just a few seconds. I'm so glad the curve deformer worked nicely for that.
Swap hairstyles, including: bangs, sideburns, the long part of hair (can be long or short!), and twintails. Ears can also be added to the sideburns or bangs, or even just the skull
Easily reposition the pupils if need be
The only thing this will not have will be massive variations to body types. Small tweaks may be possible.
Everything that is replaceable requiring new parts is tagged so I can view it all at once without having to navigate my timeline.

I need to do this same process with the fighter pose YCHs, especially the color override bit. It saves SO much time.

I'm so happy with this even if it's super small.
