Class Role changes
Added 2017-06-08 00:08:07 +0000 UTCSo, attendance for classroom streams was quite simply way too low to justify the use of the role. Since I needed topics and questions to actually do the lessons, if I didn't have comments and stuff from people in the classroom role, I had to switch to the public chat--which I wound up doing 99% of the time. Most of the interaction within the stream came from people outside of the role, just to get through the lesson, which made the role moot. That didn't seem fair to me.
Additionally, teaching live is not easy in the slightest. It's incredibly stressful and I've come to hate doing it.
So instead what I'll be doing from now on, each month I'll have a stream where one of two things happens: either a character redesign stream, or I just do sketch requests for like an hour.
In the event of a redesign stream, people in the $5+ tiers will have sent me in their characters with a brief mention of something they feel is odd--or I'd maybe choose a theme and redesign a character to fit that theme (e.g., often a style change). I'd only do one a month, and I'd choose whatever submission feels the most interesting.
If I don't get submissions, instead I'll have a thread (again, $5+ only) where people can drop in a few request ideas. I'll do a handful of them as sketches for an hour. Again these would be selected via preference, as I wouldn't be able to do every single one (I made the mistake of attempting to do that on an old patreon page of mine and I wanted to kms).
These perks are open to anyone in the $5 or higher tiers as well. Hopefully these perks feel substantial enough.
