How Do You Get Close To Your Nightscapes?

I tend to be out with my gear throughout the night and then sleep in a hotel during the day. The one time my wife went with me she slept in the back of the SUV we rented one night and then did a combination of some star gazing and sleeping a bit in the car the following night; I was in the car for a bit that evening as well waiting for the particulate matter to clear up and learned how inaccurate the modeling of PM2.5 in the air can be in the process.
