So this is what I got set up today.
All the BG layers are scripted to follow the movement of the main layer, dividing the difference in motion by a small factor.
E.g. the far backdrop only moves and scales at 1/8th the rate of the main. Stuff in the foreground scales by a multiplier instead.
AND! I was able to easily get some lighting done via CC Glass and a few CC Composite + drop shadow filters. I'm gonna tweak it a little for each loop but it easily gives me a pseudo-lighting effect.
This also shows the variable speed that the animations play at.
Strelok is at work on audio atm, and, more good news, I will have some vocal sound effects on top of everything!
