TLDR: Making good head way on the art and code for the next chapter!
Dev Rambling: I've continued to stray from the old method of two character sprites at opposite sides of the screen talking at each other like a puppet show, in favor of illustrating a few dynamic shots of the characters with variants for their facial expressions. I feel like this does a more interesting job of conveying the dialogue.
And speaking of speaking... I'm trying to streamline my long conversations for some of our click-happy speed-runners. With Ch 9, I've edited the conversations down somewhat and then left an occasional option to click on that character again and prompt for more non-essential lore. Hopefully it's a good solution for everyone, but we shall see!
