One of Damon's lowest moments in the show. I get why he did it, but it is still a sh***y thing to do. On the plus side, Lexi didn't hurt Liz, (the sheriff) she would have out of self-defense. I am a big fan of Liz (odd character to be a fan of, but I really like her a lot more than I like Lexi (I'm probably in a minority with that one). The one thing about this episode that annoys me is that none of the writers on this show can do maths. Stefan is 163 years old, not 162. He was 17 in 1864 and would have turned 18 in 1864, hence he was born in 1846. The year is 2009 which makes him 163 (grrr, pet hate). This is not the only time they make age mistakes, it is a common theme throughout the show. Matt is sweet but dull. You are right about Stefan being an addict, even though it is only hinted at in this episode. Damon defenders (myself included) often forget how bad Damon is in these early episodes. He didn't wipe away Jeremy's memories about his parents dying, he just took his pain away. Great reaction. Can't wait for the next one.
