Great reaction. Some amazing episodes coming up. It has never occurred to me that Isobel must have known or trusted Damon enough to have let him into her house. Damon must have rushed off with her body when he heard Ric, because Ric told Jenna Isobel's body was never found (it was mentioned in 1x9). Vampires are experts at digging shallow graves. They need to so they can hide the bodies of their victims. Witches cannot be compelled. I was surprised when you were unsure as to which Salvatore would be the liar of Stefan and Damon. As we discovered it was Stefan, however he has spent the majority of the show lying to Elena about something. On the other hand, Damon tends to be up front about how bad he is, so he doesn't need to lie very often. Katherine was very promiscuous, but vampires have a heightened sexual appetite due to their heightened emotions. A celibate vampire is a grumpy and dangerous vampire. Ben is new. Anna couldn't compel Jeremy as he now has a vervain bracelet. You'll find out why she didn't compel him earlier. All bar one episode, the season is about to step up another notch in pace and content. There is a lot going on in almost every episode. looking forward to the next one.
