Her almost wondering “You don’t remember” is assumed to be part of the dream, but that’s the real Julia, shocked that the spell is affecting Quentin so much- and the bitter amusement in her voice when she laughs and says “What kind of friend would do that?” is pretty hard to watch; after Quentin abandoned her and blew up at her last episode, she really escalated. Additionally, seeing Quentin in the hospital again after he almost got expelled drives home how much he needs magic- and thus parallels him with Julia, even if she’d convinced herself over the years that she could outgrow it.

I’ve watched it so many times, but it was great seeing you realize the twists and that fact that it was Julia’s doing, trapping Quentin in his own worst nightmare. It would be my nightmare too, if I had ever actually believed in something so strongly as Quentin believes in magic. Julia really cooked up worst revenge by fucking with his mind like that. She went too far, but she realized pretty quickly that she went to far. And Marina exed out all the star tattoos on Julia’s arm to take away all the levels of magic she had earned, but like you said, she didn’t erase Julia’s memories so Julia still knows about magic and she can learn it all again. I’m not saying it will be easy, but...I’m treading in spoiler territory so I’ll stop. But I’m not saying anything you wouldn’t already figure from what has been shown up to this point.
