This is hilarious, I posted a comment on [2x13] about "Know Thy Enemy" - I totally forgot there was an actual Episode titled that, pretty funny. Anyway, this one was okay, I did find it odd that Katerina was willing to believe Isobel, knowing there was a possibility She could be compelled/manipulated. I suppose they were close yeah, but still, this is Katerina we're talking about. Again, I don't blame Matt, if they'd been honest with Him from the beginning, He probably wouldn't have reacted the same way. This is what happens when you keep secrets for to long - or when you compel your Mother to forget what you are. I still agree with you about John, it's a slow process and sometimes that's all we can ask.

2020-05-07 21:22:25 +0000 UTCThis episode really goes to prove why the supernatural feel the need to keep things from the humans, I'm all for human rights when it comes to this show since there's only like three main humans and the others are side characters that show up when convenient then dip again. But we spend so much time being frustrated that Jenna or Matt don't know this stuff but look at how they react, it's understandable that they're scared and confused but even when Caroline explains everything to Matt he turns around and exposes everything to her mother who is a part of a group that could bring harm to her, Jenna doesn't even know about the supernatural but when she learns of Isobel being alive she just completely skips town...like I know people have been keeping you out of the circle but you can't just leave the kids you're responsible for, you can only imagine how she'll take the supernatural thing. Then there's John who just goes around exposing things to people- not because he genuinely cares but because he's petty, there are people who are understanding that not every creature is evil and they're only trying to help but there are others who cannot be trusted. As a human it seems easy to argue that the humans of the show that are tied to the supernatural have a right to know since they're in danger in some way but as Caroline said it's not so simple revealing a secret like that, that could leave you incredibly vulnerable if you tell the wrong person.

2020-04-14 15:11:05 +0000 UTCYou are spot on, Klaus is in Ric's body. All will make sense in the next episode as to why they chose him. I suppose Elena means it was John's fault in the way that Ric and Jenna's relationship was none of his business. He has to put blood inside him because Ric isn't a vampire. Isobel would have known Elena was the doppelganger when she was doing research at Duke, which is why I think she decided to turn. She wanted to become a vampire to protect Elena. John would have told her about Elena. You've got to the part of the show where you get sad when people die, but you're conflicted because you can understand why people are killing each other. A lot of setup in these last 2 episodes. You are going to need something to hold onto for these last few episodes of the season, there is a reason people think it is the best and these last episodes are why. A lot happens, it is non-stop. Great reaction. Thank you so much for the extra episode this week, it is much appreciated during these dark and dismal times. Can't wait for the next one. Take care. Stay safe, stay healthy.
