I can’t help but think that Stefan could’ve told Damon and Elena to stop looking for him in another way. Killing Andie was so unnecessary like why did he do that? Klaus didn’t tell him that

2020-06-15 17:07:40 +0000 UTCI do agree with Mandzipop on the topic of Stefan and Damon's relationship. I feel like sometimes because the show focuses so much on Elena that we forget that Stefan and Damon are brothers who care about each other. I think it's partly the shows fault because in some cases they don't really show how much they mean to each other, but they mean a great deal to one another. So yes Stefan is staying with Klaus to protect Elena, but we can't forget the whole reason that he went with him in the first place was to protect Damon . All of this was to protect his brother, even if it meant leaving Elena. I know that's not what this episode was about and we'll see more of their relationship in the future. I just love to think that even though everyone loves Elena, it doesn't always have to be about her, sometimes it's just about their brotherhood. Don't worry I'm not an Elena hater ( at least not till later this season) I like her right now. I just really like when they show the boys relationship a little bit more.

They are hilarious and different because you are the only reactor that is just openly hostile towards Damon it's interesting to see him through other eyes. I am in the "it's okay to love them both" camp.

He’s in love with her so of course he’s going to be nice to her, but that doesn’t make him a good person. When he does something selfless for people other than Elena it’ll be more interesting.

2020-05-05 16:24:22 +0000 UTCWhen Damon walked into the room to give her the necklace, he picked up a picture which was taken the day Stefan first gave Elena the necklace. When he gave it to her, he was swallowing hard, his voice cracked and he winced when he said 'Your welcome'. He was nervous and uncomfortable giving her the necklace. That is meant to show his motives were pure and not there to worm his way into Elena's affections. Damon loves Elena, but he loves Stefan more, just as Stefan loves Damon more than he loves Elena. The real love story in this show is the one between the 2 brothers and their journey.

I still need to see more from him for me to be convinced that he’s not trying to worm his way into her affections. I feel like he always has an agenda when it comes to Elena.

Any vampire can walk into the boarding house without invitation from Elena, so it is no longer her house, it is now Stefan and Damon's house again. Damon was the only one who understood where Elena was coming from when he said it was her party and she could cry if she wanted. Damon wanted Stefan back because he felt guilty about Stefan leaving as it was partly his fault for saving Caroline from getting bitten by Tyler. Although you never picked up on it, Damon giving Elena the necklace was about giving her hope that they could get Stefan back, regardless of how he felt for her. That necklace is a symbol of Stefan's love for Elena. Outside of the Stefan scenes, that was probably the most important scene in the episode. That will make sense very shortly, and not for any reason you think. Klaus made it clear at the end of S2 he knew about Stefan as he had a reputation. I think this episode goes some way to explain it. However, his torture techniques are also part of his legendary status, which was why Klaus wanted Stefan in S2. Stefan is far more creative at torturing people than most, hence the game of darts. You are right that this season is darker yet lighter at the same time. It starts 22nd June 2010 (Elena's birthday) and ends 6th/7th November 2010. So it is set over a fairly short period of time. S2 ended 1st May 2010, so there has been a small time jump. The party is really Elena's 18th, end of school and Damon's birthday all in one (his birthday is 18th June). You will meet Bonnie's dad at some point. Caroline and Tyler finally get it on. You'll notice as the group get older there are more sex scenes. Ric doesn't think he's being of any use to them, and I get that, but he ought to ask them instead and not assume that is how they feel. If he knew Jeremy was seeing ghosts, he probably wouldn't have left. Communication is the key. Was that what you'd heard about happening to Andi? Not sure whether you noticed, but Andi no longer had bite marks on her neck. Damon had stopped feeding on her, so I guess their relationship was slightly more functional than before. He obviously cared about her, which is one of the reasons he destroyed Stefan's bedroom. It's better than killing someone like he used to and did with Rose. I think Damon wanted to know what he was dealing with regarding Stefan when it came to telling Elena. He had an idea, but needed to see it for himself and he did. He's told her, so what will she do with that information? Plus Stefan called her, so what will she do about that? Great reaction, can't wait for the next one. I love S3. Stay safe, stay healthy.
