I liked this, a prisoner escape. A cool alien villain, no cheese. (Or very, very little). I like these where they don't ham it up too much. Like effects to thought the alien looked really good.

As to the rapid relationship with Mary, I put that down to Mary's highly honed manipulative skills. She obviously picked Tosh as the most vulnerable of the team, and being able to read her thoughts meant she could work on Tosh's weaknesses and insecurities. I think Jack's story about Vincent/Vanessa was in part him joking about and stalling for time, while at the same time alluding to Tosh's recent out of character behaviour. Great reaction, as always, and spot on commentary at the end. Oh, and a pub quiz is just what it sounds like - a game played by the customers in a pub/bar, where people try to answer quiz questions. A bit like Trivial Pursuit.
