Poems that hopefully inspire...
“little arsons everywhere”
you benefit from a world
soaked in kerosene
as long as you hold the matches,
but now that you’re drenched too
you’ve decided everyone should burn.
you’ll fool some into thinking
you’re an exception,
but you’ve only become
the arsonist
i always knew you would be.
and soon enough
the world will realize
just how common
you really were.
“white people too”
and the war will keep on raging
because you refuse to acknowledge
that there is one.
your ancestors fed lies to mine.
lies glued together with cum
and a prayer.
and the good book
and the back of a hand
became new traditions
that we welcomed
and passed down
to our children
and our children’s
children.
but monsters
only create more
monsters
and nothing is more
fearsome
than one born with a
hunger
that can’t be satiated.
correction.
nothing is more
fearsome
than one born with a
hunger
to be free.
