I absolutely love James Corden and Daisy Haggard in this episode. Such lovely characters that you really care about straight away.

Love how you jumped to the woman at night time being beaten up and dishevelled whereas I just thought she looked like a typical British girl on her way home from a night out. I think that's a difference between Brits and Americans for sure... :D

I'm surprised this made you emotional. This episode is just too comedic for me to take seriously. It's mostly good fun but the ending kinda spoils it for me. I'm just not a fan of the cringey love resolutions. Amy's reaction was basically mine. I do like the scenes with The Doctor, Craig and Sophie. But I find it hard to buy that The Doctor can't fit into the human culture. I know its supposed to show his alien side but I just don't buy it for some reason. Harmless fun episode though. Not the best. Its more of an average episode but still fun.

The Doctor at his most alien trying to fit in, something Matt Smith does best. Also the moment the Doctor took the free kick from Craig in the football match is an actual tactic in Football, not used too often, but in this case it was to Craigs disappointment. And the number on the Doctor's kit was 11, a show reference as he's the 11th Doctor.

Yes, help by calling the authorities not by going upstairs into a strange dark apartment. If that happened I would call the police🤷🏽♂️ If they really needed help they would’ve asked their neighbor not a stranger walking on the street

Great reaction : ) I love this episode - there are odd bits that dont quite click , but I love the feels and Smith and Corden have such great chemistry together. Totally get what you mean about Matt Smith - he does have a warmth and nurturing air to him at times. Also - as others have said - the time ship didn't leave it imploded.

'Why would she take the time to go help someone else'/' Really? Someone is asking for help and says their little girl is hurt - first instinct is to help surely

This is a charming and fun episode, just the antidote needed after the trauma of the last couple. As for the space ship disappearing at the end, I don't think it took off or left - the Doctor said it was imploding, so I think it actually shut down and collapsed in on itself.

I wonder why the Doctor doesn’t headbutt Amy so she remembers Rory🤔

Yep, the Queen's on all the money!
Matt Smith initially trained as a professional footballer, but was injured and was unfortunately forced to quit.
I think the Doctor's characterization is a bit off in this episode because the writer wasn't really sure what this new Doctor was like at the time it was written!
Clocks often use the 24-hour clock ('military time') in the UK, but we always say times aloud in the 12-hour clock. Because we're weird. 😀
The Doctor's always been telepathic, but the headbutting thing is new!
EDIT - Yeah, you're right about the 11th Doctor's warmth. There's a real kindness there.
